Connie has been practicing Pilates for over 20 years. Through personal experience, she found that Pilates was the best kind of therapy for a back injury she had been dealing with for years. After rehabing her injury, she continued practicing Pilates and found that she was stronger, leaner and had greater flexibility that ever before. As a result, she committed herself to learning how to bring this movement modality to others. Her first certification was through the PhysicalMind Institute in New York City and later she continued her education through Peak Pilates of Boulder, Colorado.
In her New York studio, and later in her studios in Florida, Connie has successfully trained a broad-spectrum of clients. While working with chiropractors, physical therapists, and athletic trainers she has gained extensive experience in both post-rehab training and training for elite athletes. She has worked with clients ranging from a 12-year old with scoliosis to an 84-year with Alzheimer's; clients with hip and knee replacements to professional athletes. She has specialty certification and expertise in Pre/Post Natal exercise, and has worked with OB/GYNs to physically prepare mothers for birth and beyond. Connie's passion for and expertise in mind/body fitness have helped hundreds of students develop healthier lifestyles and stronger, more efficient, bodies.
A 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and a practicing yogi for over 30 years, Connie has assisted and studied with many notable yoga teachers.
